Developed & delivered by a specialist Speech and Language Therapist & Educational Audiologist, our 1/2 day online training is designed for professionals new to working with hearing loss or in need of a refresher .
This course will ensure that you:
- Understand how normal hearing works, how & why hearing loss occurs and what that means for a developing child
- Understand the impact of hearing loss on cognition, language, learning and socialising
- Feel confident in your knowledge of the latest hearing technology
- Know how to interpret audiograms
- Have a basic understanding of speech acoustics
- Leave with tried-and-tested ideas and strategies to support the children you work with
