We started in a secondary school where we were joined by Deaf pupils from across three different schools for a session on exploring decision making to help resolve day to day problems, followed by a good dose of team work to create newspaper animals.
Then in the afternoon we headed to the local bowling alley where we were joined by 13 pupils from 11 different primary schools. Many of these pupils had not met before so this was a great chance to make new Deaf friends while enjoying some bowling!
There were smiles all round! Including the parents who had the chance to meet each other, and swap numbers. As the day came to an end it was lovely to hear parents beginning to arrange further meetings together so that new friends could stay in touch!
