The NIHR Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre is a collaboration between the University of Nottingham and Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. We are funded by the NHS. Our Centre does research into different health conditions, including a research theme dedicated to many aspects of hearing. For more information about our Centre and the hearing theme, please go to our website at: https://nottinghambrc.nihr.ac.uk/research/hearing.

As with so many aspects of research and healthcare, resources have been directed to combatting the COVID pandemic this year and research has played a vital role in this. We are however, beginning to get our hearing studies up and running again. We do hold a database of people who are interested in taking part in our studies. You would be very welcome to join our database. We don't share your details with anyone and you will only be contacted about studies that we think may be of interest to you. There is no obligation at all to take part - it is entirely your choice.

Some studies can be done from home (and indeed, we are trying to do this wherever possible at the moment due to the pandemic), while we are preparing our premises at Ropewalk House in Nottingham to be 'COVID-secure' to reduce any risks. You can also opt to receive our newsletter which we send out periodically (this will be an electronic version only at the moment, but we will print paper copies in the future). If you would like to know more about taking part and signing up to the database, please contact sandra.smith@nottingham.ac.uk. Or, you can sign-up using our short online form at: https://tinyurl.com/y6klr9uw. Thank you.
