"Thinking about the mind: children and adults with hearing loss"
On the 24th of February Hear Together took part in the Med-El series, “Ask an expert”.
This episode considered “The mind”. Diana Harbor, from Hear Together looked at the importance of encouraging theory of mind children with hearing loss as well as growing social currency, with practical resources to help with the challenge.
Professor Christiane Volter, from Bochum gave an excellent presentation on Hearing and Cognition and how this changes with age. Providing access to hearing technology was a major theme as well as aging well and staying connected at all ages. The event was really interactive and thought provoking and another great way of connecting professionals in the field of hearing loss all around the world.
