We are so EXCITED to introduce to you our 6 AMAZING runners, who will be running for us this year at the 2024 London Marathon, if you can help them reach their targets and give them a little donation, we would be VERY grateful....

Introducing our first runner of 2024....KIRSTIE DODLSEY

"Well I said I'd never do it again but we all go to daft lengths to get a better race photo! After seeing how much Hear Together help people on our local area I couldn't help but sign up for 2024.  Hear Together is an amazing charity which supports children and adults with any type of hearing loss. With one in six people in the UK either deaf or suffering from hearing loss - including some of my friends and family - I am so happy to be fundraising for such an incredible community.  Any donations, no matter how big or small will make all the difference. If you are able to donate and help me reach my target that would be hugely appreciated!!!"

Next in our amazing team is.....SAM BOWNS

"I have been running for over 20 years, I have ran over 13 half marathons and completed my first marathon in London in 2023 through the ballot. I will be running the marathon again in 2024 but this time I will be running for Hear Together...I'm really looking forward to running for a purpose this year.
Hear Together is a small, relatively new charity, so my mission is to raise awareness and money to support the amazing work the team do for the hearing loss community. All donations will grow their activities for deaf babies, children and teenagers, community Hear2Help clinics for adults using hearing aids and a new training hub."

After a late injury scuppered his 2023 London Marathon, we are absolutely delighted that STEPHEN ALLEN is ready to run again!

"Having supported my wife and daughter at the London marathon twice each it is now my turn to run this year. I'm really excited to experience the atmosphere myself and am hoping it will help get me round. I will be running to raise money for the charity Hear Together which my wife has been involved with since it's creation.
Hear Together is an incredible charity which is so worth supporting and it's an honour to be running for them. The work Hear Together does has a high impact upon everyone it engages with. It creates a life long community for deaf children and their families who are wearing hearing technology to 'Live Well with Hearing Loss'. I've seen the really important work they do first hand and I'm delighted to be raising money for a small charity where every £1 is vital and who's work is so life changing."

And as always, we have an intrepid couple....JEN & PAUL

"We have always been passionate about helping others and wanted to use our love for running (Well Jen's love for running ha ha) to make a difference. When we learnt about Hear Together and the important work they do, we knew we had to get involved.
We are so excited to be raising money for Hear Together – to help them provide the support and resources that deaf individuals need to thrive. We will be training hard for the marathon and we are certainly determined to cross the finish line, but we can't do it alone. We need your help to reach our fundraising goal and support this important cause. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a huge difference and will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your support and for helping us make a difference in the lives of deaf individuals. Together, we can help Hear Together make a real difference in the lives of deaf individuals."

And last, but definitely not least is JURIE SCHOEMAN, who is travelling all the way from South Africa to support us!

"Thanks for making a difference by helping Hear Together to continue to do great work with deaf & hearing impaired children & adults, supporting confidence, skills & knowledge to communicate, participate & thrive.
This is my second London marathon, and 2023 was a great experience.
I've learnt lessons from last year:
- I'll get my name printed on my shirt, so I don't have to pretend I'm Dave that the crowd are shouting for
- I've told my daughters to shout "Schoemies" and not "Dad", so I hear them this year
I'll do better in taking in nutrition, so that I don't over react and drink 2 cokes, a Lucozade and eat two gels at 32 kms year
- I'll go slower throughout, so I can actually lift my head up and see the sights and people of the last 5 kms
Thanks for your support [?] [??] [??] !"
