‘Play is the way kids try the world on for size and imagine their place in it’ Raffi
Play is the platform for a child to learn about themselves, the world and others and how they interact with each other. Pretend play helps connect early literacy and thinking as well as giving the opportunity to look at another’s perspective. In this short talk we take a glimpse at how to support the young child’s early writing skills through interaction and play. We explore what stages occur and how we can employ strategies to make the most of getting play to paper.
